The compact 5CXN44 5" coaxial speaker from B&C Speakers uses a neodymium LF/HF motor， polyimide diaphragm HF driver， and FEA-optimized design produce high output and minimal distortion. With remarkably smooth response and low distortion， this coaxial full-range driver is ideal for any high-fidelity home speaker， studio monitor， or portable system that needs to deliver high SPL.

The low frequency driver portion of the 5CXN44 has been designed to produce extremely smooth and natural midrange response you expect from B&C drivers. The 1.7" voice coil is wound on a light-weight Kapton former to handle 150 watts RMS (300 watts peak). The high power handling gives this driver amazing output capability for its size. Also， with over 11 mm of peak-to-peak excursion capability， the 5CXN44 can move an impressive amount of air for surprising midbass impact. A rugged cast aluminum frame ensures that this little driver can take the use and abuse that it will be exposed to in the pro sound or even mobile audio environment. Finally， the naturally damped paper cone produces smooth response and even has a waterproof coating for use in less than ideal situations.
The 5CXN44's high frequency assembly has been engineered to be an easy match for the woofer. The 1.4" polymer dome produces extremely wide frequency response， making for an easy transition to the woofer. At 101 dB efficient (2.83V/1m) the high frequency unit only needs a small amount of attenuation to properly match up with the low frequency driver for flat response. It's controlled 80° conical dispersion pattern is perfect for filling a large area with sound while minimizing unwanted reflections. All of this makes the 5CXN44 one of the most capable small coaxial drivers on the market.
